ANTEPROJECTOS: The first business building built with tires has started

"The first tire of the UTOPIA building, the first business building to be built with tires in Portugal, has already been launched. This project, in Póvoa de Lanhoso, will be inaugurated on the 10th anniversary of the national technology company Plako, and will be built by reusing almost two thousand used tires - using a construction technique developed by the American eco-architect Michael Reynolds. This option translates into a 70% reduction in carbon emissions and higher levels of energy efficiency than traditional construction materials."
